About the roleAs a Pre‑Sales Solution Architect you will design and articulate on‑premise, private and hybrid cloud infrastructure and networking solutions that meet client needs while optimizing cost‑effectiveness and competitiveness. You will apply your architecture expertise along with strong storytelling, presentation and business communication skills to create compelling, client‑focused proposals.
Responsibilities
Create secure, scalable, future‑ready infrastructure and networking solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Maintain deep knowledge of infrastructure technologies—compute, storage, networking and virtualization—and apply them creatively to achieve client outcomes.
Build trusted relationships with clients, listen actively to challenges, and communicate how your solutions add value.
Contribute to high‑quality bids with clear technical documentation, architecture visuals and cost models that balance innovation and practicality.
Ensure all solutions meet UK government regulations and security standards, including GDPR and NCSC guidelines.
Collaborate closely with sales, delivery and engineering teams to ensure smooth transitions from design to implementation.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience designing infrastructure and networking solutions, including virtualization and software‑defined technologies.
Strong track record of contributing to pre‑sales proposals with clear, engaging technical documentation and cost modelling.
Ability to engage clients and translate complex technical ideas into accessible, relatable language.
Collaborative mindset and strong problem‑solving skills, able to think creatively and work well with others.
Excellent communication skills and a desire to contribute to a supportive, inclusive team culture.
Security Clearance
Successful appointment requires Security Check (SC) clearance. Applicants must have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years and satisfy other criteria. Throughout the recruitment process, questions about eligibility—such as country of residence and nationality—will be asked.
