Overview
The University of Manchester is seeking a CRM Migration Manager to lead the migration of its Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) CRM system from Raiser’s Edge to Salesforce. This full-time, fixed-term role supports the university’s fundraising and volunteering goals, as well as technology and infrastructure, and aligns with the Manchester 2035 strategy. The position is based in Manchester with hybrid working arrangements.
This migration is the first phase in implementing the university’s CRM strategy. The project supports the upcoming fundraising and volunteering campaign launching in November 2025 and is crucial for broader IT modernisation as part of the university’s strategy launching later this year.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver all DDAR business-side objectives of the CRM migration project, reporting to the Deputy Director (Development Services).
- Line-manage and coordinate the DDAR CRM Migration Officer and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Lead requirement gathering, design input, data migration oversight, system integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide business change support, post-live system assurance, and decommissioning of Raiser’s Edge.
- Support institutional aims in fundraising and volunteering campaigns and contribute to IT modernisation efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering business-focused IT projects, technical management of information systems, relationship building, team leadership, and expertise in CRM systems.
- Experience using Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge is crucial.
- Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Perceptive, resilient, collaborative, results-oriented, creative, and willing to work outside normal hours when necessary.
