The Energy and Decarbonisation team manages the Council's energy use and implements the Decarbonisation strategy. We are expanding the team to support the Council's net zero ambitions.

If you are interested in energy management and decarbonisation, you could play a key role in supporting our efforts to address the climate crisis.

The postholder will establish and administer financial, performance, and quality control systems to support the delivery of Bridgend County Borough Council's Decarbonisation Strategy.

Working closely with the Decarbonisation Programme Manager, the role involves implementing and managing the Decarbonisation Strategy and action plans, and monitoring projects across the authority to make Bridgend Council a net zero carbon organisation.

Candidates should have knowledge and experience of sustainable energy technologies, familiarity with project management tools and processes, and the ability to work with diverse teams across a large organisation to deliver outcomes.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility for all council employees.

The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post, providing a framework for working hours between home and the office.
