The role
This role will be responsible for leading project delivery teams to support the implementation of our Digital Strategy and associated new products and capabilities that enable SSEN Transmission to be successful. A key element of the role is ensuring deliverables align with customer expectations and that they add the expected business value.
They will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the product lifecycle and product roadmap via their delivery teams through use of best practice methodologies, including both agile and waterfall, ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes.
You will
- Manage the product and delivery teams, and wider stakeholders as required, across end-to-end product lifecycle to ensure that resultant systems/services deliver the specified outcomes, within budget and timescale, without introducing technical debt.
- Provide regular updates against the defined outcomes to demonstrate performance and progress against the product roadmap.
- Establish and maintain highly effective relationships with delivery teams and stakeholders at all levels to ensure that interfaces work correctly.
- Lead the delivery of technology solutions with focus on tangible business outcomes in accordance with the business strategy, using the appropriate methodology.
- Manage suppliers and the relationship between those suppliers and our stakeholders where the suppliers are accountable for the project deliverables and the outcomes.
You have
- Demonstrable experience of running successful delivery across multiple delivery teams with strong technical knowledge to provide delivery teams with support and guidance.
- Experience in applying various Waterfall (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio.
- Ability to provide leadership and focus for the delivery teams, building strong capability within relevant area.
- Ability to manage complex delivery in a complex regulated environment, potentially including applying remedial measures where appropriate.
- High level knowledge of development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development.
