Reporting into the Head of Operations, the Delivery Manager (Minor Works) will help the TCSS Department in successfully delivering the Minor Works element of our Station Information and Surveillance Systems (SISS) Maintenance contracts. You will help quote, plan, deliver and close out a range of SISS Minor Works tasks across our customer accounts and will be required to liaise regularly and effectively with all relevant stakeholders. This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to be in our Canning Town (London) two days per week, with travel across the London / South areas on a weekly basis.
What you'll do:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to discuss, quote, plan, deliver and close out various Minor Works tasks on SISS assets
- Liaise with external stakeholders to identify, quote, plan and deliver Minor Works opportunities
- Compile quotes and ensure they are reviewed and approved prior to being issued
- Prepare relevant documentation (quotes, WPPs, TBSs, O&M, Handover Documents) for Minor Works tasks
- Compiling and updating of information within databases, spreadsheets and Project Plans
- Active involvement in the collation of information required for Bid Tenders and recording Tender responses
- Support the improvement in department performance in winning and delivering Minor Works while ensuring quality, time, safety and budget requirements are met
- Line management responsibility for between 2 and 8 direct staff and further indirect staff as required by the works being delivered.
You are an experienced delivery professional with a strong track record in managing projects, ideally within the Asset Management sector. You thrive on coordinating multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You have excellent communication and leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Requirements:
- Experienced in the quoting, planning, delivery and close out of Minor Works / Variation works in an Asset Management maintenance or project environment.
- Client facing experience demonstrating how to manage different stakeholders successfully
- Experience of managing a team, including directly employed and sub-contractor staff, demonstrating how to build and maintain a high performing team
- Experience of or an ability to understand commercial, financial and technical information
- High level of computer literacy: practical use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel (including ability to analyse mid-complexity Excel formulas and fix formula issues), PowerPoint
- Experience of working within the Railway SISS maintenance environment is desirable
- Experience of working with Network Rail / Train Operator station communication infrastructure is desirable
