Working pattern: Full-time (Part-time hours considered)

About the role

This role is responsible for leading the delivery planning and resource management function within NFU Mutual’s Product & Pricing department.

You’ll oversee the coordination, forecasting and monitoring of resource plans to ensure the department meets business demand in line with financial targets and strategic priorities. Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll work closely with managers, consultants and stakeholders to challenge, advise and validate resource requests, cost allocations and delivery plans, ensuring they meet agreed quality standards and support business objectives.

You’ll produce and analyse regular MI on resource allocation, utilisation and delivery progress, flagging risks and variances to support proactive planning decisions. A key focus will be driving consistency and quality in planning across the department, monitoring adherence to processes and tools, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

You’ll also lead the development of planning tools and long-term forecasting processes, including shrinkage, attrition and capacity planning. In addition, you’ll build and maintain skills modelling across the department to support a more flexible and future-ready resource model.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in planning and resource management, with hands-on experience overseeing and monitoring resourcing projects and processes. You’ll be confident using historical data and statistics to create accurate forecasts and resource estimates, and you’ll bring sound analytical skills to interpret, manipulate and deploy data to support informed decision-making.

You’ll be highly IT literate, with excellent working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jira and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Pivot Tables and Power BI. Ideally, you’ll have experience working on projects and programmes, and any exposure to the insurance industry would be an advantage.

Strong organisational skills are key, along with the ability to communicate clearly, build relationships across teams, and influence and challenge thinking where needed.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate the following:
• Resilient mindset with the ability to stay focused and effective when faced with changing priorities, tight deadlines or challenges, maintaining a positive and solutions-focused approach
• Ability to prioritise competing demands, enabling you to assess urgency and business impact to manage your workload efficiently and ensure key deadlines are met
• Confidence in negotiating outcomes that align with both project goals and wider business objectives, balancing differing perspectives while maintaining strong working relationships.
