Demand Planning refers to the process of forecasting the trends of wholesale & consignment accounts both future & in-season sales. Our Demand Planning team work closely with our commercial teams and the buying teams of our key accounts.
You’ll have a strong analytical ability, recognising patterns in large data sets and you’ll work closely with our Product Merchandisers to map new season product to current sales and feedback the sell-out results highlighting the seasonal best & worst sellers, giving detailed reasons why anything has fallen into either sector.
The Responsibilities:
- Generate timely and accurate demand plans for all product classification on a seasonal/weekly/monthly basis.
- Support Planning manager decision making with consideration and scenario’s.
- Execute product demand plans/VLP’s for Wholesale and Consignment channels to meet the sales targets.
- Plan new product launches with demand forecasts and detailed analysis to anticipate customers promotions, market trends and discounting.
- Work with the Wholesale sales teams, Finance and Planning manager to track and support improvements in forecast accuracy on a monthly/seasonal basis.
- Oversee, manage and analyse consignment market on a Weekly Basis.
- Work with the Sales team to ensure Consignment Accounts are fully supported with optimal stock levels.
- Assist in risk assessment & mitigation activities.
- Successfully run planning tools with sales, stock and intake information, and ability to identify errors and anomalies. Liaising with Planning Manager, Commercial Team & Partners for alignment.
- Manage SKU’s actual and target inventories of NOS lines, working closely with the Planning Manager to minimize weeks cover & maximize stock turn.
- Prepare all information for seasonal/monthly/weekly forecast meetings for Wholesale & Consignment channels to review forecast accuracy, current ROS vs Wks Cover, seasonal % fulfilment and in-season % sell-out.
- Collaborate with Planning, Supply, Commercial Teams & Operations Teams to ensure maximisation of buy fulfilment and analyse MOQs to mitigate risks on a monthly basis including potential inventory optimisation from other channels.
- Identify opportunities to optimize inventory and meet customer demands within the Wholesale & Consignment channels.
- Ad hoc analysis across the planning team to support overall objectives.
The Person:
- Experience of buying or forecasting within fashion or the footwear industry
- Wholesale channel experience is preferable
- Knowledge and understanding of USA market and Consignment an advantage.
- Strong merchandising background
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Tableau would be advantageous
- Great communication skills!
- You’ve got the hunger for hitting the numbers and happy to talk to about them
- Happy to ‘Geek Out’ and obsess KPIs,
- Experienced working with ERP Planning tools and data analytics
- You’ll be a proactive person enthused by the results of your team and your division
- Excellent multi-tasker who isn’t afraid of a challenge
- Commercially savvy
- You’ll be on the pulse with all channels of activity
- Positive attitude and of course, a great sense of humour
- You’ll be creative but also have an analytical mindset. Industry recognized achievements preferred but not essential
- Strong judgement, drive and influence
