About ICAOThe International Council for AI Oversight (ICAO) is a global body monitoring the ethical, psychological, sociological, and operational impact of artificial intelligence systems. Our mission is to protect public interest, individual freedom, and digital integrity while ensuring transparent and responsible AI deployment worldwide.
ICAO assesses AI technologies using a Red – Yellow – Green classification system, publishes strategic reports for global organizations (e.g., UN, EU AI Office), and initiates corrective measures when necessary. We conduct field tests, community-based experiments, and behavioral studies to evaluate the real-world influence of AI systems from recommendation engines to public surveillance models.
