We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning construction consultancy firm based in Birmingham, seeking to appoint a Deputy Head of Fire Safety Management on a permanent basis.

This full-time position is based in Birmingham, offering hybrid working arrangements and a salary between £55,000 - £75,000, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, solid technical competency, and outstanding communication abilities. Leadership qualities are essential to manage both internal staff and external supply chain teams within the Fire Safety division.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Managing the delivery of fire consultancy projects, including Type 1 and Type 3 Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), and developing pipelines of activity and business plans for fire risk assessment services.
• Supporting operational, financial, and commercial performance as part of the management team, and proactively pursuing new business opportunities.
• Coordinating fire safety team operations in support of the Head of Fire Safety Management.
• Assisting with the operation of management systems and engaging in quality assurance processes within the department.
• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects that meet client expectations, with effective project management to achieve business outcomes, profitability, and repeat business.

Experience required:

• Professional fire safety accreditation with IFSM, IFE, or an equivalent organization.
• At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in fire safety.

Skills, knowledge, and expertise:

• Ability to oversee multiple large-scale fire risk assessment contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Capability to resolve work issues promptly to maintain high client satisfaction.

Working hours:

• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
