We have a position available for a Deputy Manager.
The Deputy Manager will be based in The Southville Centre, BS3 1QG and will be leading on our internal childcare offer, focusing on practice, observations, assessments and our internal offer. This is a full-time position, can be 37.5- 40 hours a week. Hybrid role, room and office based.

BS3 Community Development is an independent charity-run nursery working across two sites in Southville and Bedminster: The Southville Centre and the Chessel Centre. Our charity aims to improve the lives and well-being of people who live and work within the BS3 postcode and we are looking for our newest team member to help us achieve this goal.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the company of others, who is confident in delivering high performance, high quality, provide support and lead and manage others.
You must be a practitioner qualified to Level 6 or above. We are searching for someone who is passionate about supporting children as they take their first steps into the world. Someone who has a sound knowledge of the EYFS and Birth to Five. Someone who is confident in ensuring statutory welfare requirements and Ofsted expectations. We are searching for a second Deputy to work with the Early Education and Childcare leadership team and support our purpose of creating a wonderful place for our children and families to attend.
You will be passionate about providing our nursery customers with a secure, warm, and safe environment. You will see the potential in all the children in our care and will work closely with our team to create interesting opportunities for each child to develop and shine. We are looking for someone who can bring new concepts, ideas, and passion to their work, helping to support the Lead Practitioners in their work. The role will line manage up to 5 direct reports (Lead practitioners).

We want to add value to our children’s experiences with us, but also our staff’s development, and are involved in the Bristol Standard, the Ambitious Two-Year Olds Project and Music research projects. Internally, we invite staff to participate in special interest action groups, including our Garden and Outdoor Learning Committee and our Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging group.
We are excited to hear your thoughts on these, and many other, exciting projects that enhance our practice and develop how we care for and educate the children in our care.
HOURS: 37.5- 40 hours contract permanent
QUALIFICATIONS: We are accepting those qualified to level 6 and above
CLOSING DATE: Sunday 20 July. Shortlisting will be Monday 21 July. Invites and tasks will be sent to those shortlisted on Tuesday 22 July.
INTERVIEWS: Monday 28th July.
Position to start Tuesday 26 August or as soon as possible.

RATE OF PAY:£15.56 per hour. 37.5 hours £30,423.69 - 40 hours £32,451.94
