Deputy Operations Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to co-lead and assist in managing the Parking and Shopmobility Service, with a focus on customer service, commercial performance, and operational excellence.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality services through effective asset management, financial oversight, and continuous improvement. Supporting the Operations Manager, you'll help create and manage service and corporate contracts, drive revenue, and identify savings while maintaining best practices.
Responsibilities include managing budgets to ensure resource efficiency, meeting financial targets, and supporting long-term sustainability through sound financial planning and cost control. You will oversee the full contract lifecycle, lead procurement, monitor performance, and ensure compliance. Your project management skills will support system upgrades and service improvements, balancing strategic goals with daily operations.
Experience motivating teams in a customer-focused environment, leading change, influencing outcomes, and delivering results is essential. Strong analytical, financial, and organizational skills, along with the ability to build relationships and drive innovation, are required in this fast-paced role.
Due to the nature of this position, travel around the city is necessary, either in your own insured vehicle or by bicycle. The successful candidate will need to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £40,476 - £45,718 per annum (City Pay Band 6), pro-rata for part-time
Location: Primarily at Grand Arcade Car Park, with occasional remote work
