Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to support with the co-ordination of care delivery within NUPAS London (Finchley, Kilburn and Essex) clinical services. This is a hybrid role and your working week will consist of a mixture of clinic and homeworking (3 days clinical and 1 management day).
The post holder will assist the Regional Clinical Lead to support and manage clinics to achieve group objectives and comply with corporate strategy, using the corporate framework to support the principle of the right of people to limit the size of their family.
Main duties of the job
- To support with the co-ordination of care delivery within clinical services.
- To support with the management of the clinical team(s) in order to deliver the safe and effective care of patients.
- To promote, support and deliver safe and efficient abortion and associated services in line with the Abortion Act 1967, Department of Health RSOPs, and medical guidelines across our acute day care treatment centres.
Person Specification
Essential
- Current Nurse and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration as a Registered Nurse (Sub part 1 of the NMC register)/Registered Midwife
- Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health/TOP/gynae service.
- Professional nurse education teaching qualifications.
- Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare (FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques i.e. IUS/IDU fitter)
Experience
Essential
- Ability to communicate effectively, Ability to identify and quickly defuse challenging situations.
- Ability to understand boundaries, and work in a sensitive, confidential and non-judgemental way.
- Experience working to Patient Group Directions
- Experience of using IT systems to input, store and retrieve client data
