Role: Deputy Service Lead Cheshire & Lancashire

Location of role: Hybrid

Hours of work: 39 hours per week

Rate of Pay: GBP41,639 - GBP45,614 (depending on experience)

Role Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic Deputy Service Lead to assist in managing our adult services throughout Cheshire and Lancashire. This includes overseeing a care home for adults with dementia located in Lowton, Warrington, a supported living facility in Billinge, Wigan, and a community outreach service for adults with mental health needs. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Service Lead to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across all facilities. You will guide a team of Team Leaders in upholding the standards and values of Nugent within our services in Cheshire and Lancashire. The Deputy Service Lead will handle the daily management of services, ensure compliance with regulations, serve as the Registered Manager when necessary, and empower staff to achieve optimal outcomes for those we support. Additionally, you will represent the Service Lead as needed and play a key role in achieving strategic goals. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with leadership experience in adult social care who is eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Service Lead to ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centered care across all facilities.
  • Guide a team of Team Leaders and uphold Nugent’s standards and values.
  • Manage daily service operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as Registered Manager when required.
  • Empower staff to achieve positive outcomes for those supported.
  • Represent the Service Lead as needed and contribute to strategic goals.

Experience & Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in adult social care and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Strong leadership skills, a good understanding of CQC standards, and the ability to work across multiple settings.
  • Organised, compassionate, and confident in supporting both staff and individuals with complex needs.
  • A Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential, with Level 5 or a willingness to work towards it preferred.
