Design Admin Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join us as a Design Admin Assistant has been created to assist our growing Renfold brands portfolio. This role is suitable for someone already working in the industry at this level due to the fast-paced nature of the role. The position covers multiple categories including Womenswear, Menswear, Kidswear, and Homewear. Initially, the role will support both Chelsea Peers and the wider Renfold brand portfolio, including Urban Threads. You will assist the design team and the wider product team, reporting to our designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing technical design files to required specifications and ensuring they are updated
- Collaborating closely with the buying and design teams to meet briefs and deadlines
- CAD and design development for menswear, womenswear, kidswear, and non-clothing items
- Maintaining internal spreadsheets and sample trackers accurately
- Providing general office admin support to the design and product teams
- Liaising with factories and suppliers, building strong relationships and ensuring effective communication
- Sending samples to factories and customers
- Managing the filing and organization of swatches and samples
- Preparing for internal and external meetings
- Tracking critical paths and key dates to meet deadlines
- Conducting research and reporting on relevant trends and inspirations
- Collaborating with the production team to ensure comments and approvals are made within 48 hours of submissions
Key Skill Requirements
- BA in Design or equivalent qualification
- At least one year of relevant experience
- Understanding of project timelines
- Creative with strong attention to detail
- Organized and hardworking
- Trend-aware with a keen eye for color and shape
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle a high workload
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Proactive, flexible, and able to use initiative
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to understand briefs and manage expectations
Additional Info
- Full-time, hybrid role with flexible start times
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Initial 5 days in Chiswick office, reducing to 3 days after a successful 3-month probation
- Early finish at 2 pm on Fridays
- Hybrid working (2 days remote) after passing probation

We are a passionate, small team looking for a self-starter who is confident, adaptable, and able to thrive in a busy environment. You will report mainly to the Designers and Senior Buying Manager, completing briefs and creating exciting prints. Applicants must submit a portfolio or links to their work with their CV.
