As our Design Director, you’ll be more than a designer. You’ll be a visionary leader, and global ambassador – guiding the creative direction of our New, Bespoke, and Classic collections while inspiring a talented team and captivating international audiences with your design voice.

Role and Location

Role: Design Director

Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire HQ (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office) + Travel Minimum 6 times per year, representing the brand globally

Compensation: Competitive salary (based on expertise) + bonus, private healthcare with Vitality, pension, 25 days holiday rising to 28, employer pension contribution, birthday leave, employee assistance programme.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

  • Lead the creative direction of the New, Bespoke, and Classic product ranges.
  • Own the full design process from research and ideation to concept development and execution.
  • Translate the founder’s vision into elegant, commercially successful products that honour the brand’s legacy.
  • Inspire and mentor a talented creative team; collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Represent the brand externally as a spokesperson and ambassador; build relationships across the luxury design world.
  • Travel frequently to champion the brand on an international stage.

What you’ll shape

As Design Director, drive the brand’s creative vision by shaping new concepts into elegantly crafted products, while keeping the Classic range fresh. Transform client briefs into bespoke proposals, experiment with materials and finishes, and lead projects from sketch to proposal with precision and flair. Act as a global ambassador at high-profile UK and international design events and build influential networks across the design world.

Lead and mentor the creative team, fostering innovation and curiosity. Collaborate with senior leaders to guide the business forward and unite teams, stakeholders, and clients around bold ideas and shared success.

About you

  • Degree in visual or product design (or equivalent experience) with extensive senior-level expertise, ideally in luxury.
  • Strong grasp of historical, classical, and contemporary design; balanced with commercial awareness.
  • Excellent face-to-face client interactions; ability to translate complex briefs into elegant solutions; inspires trust and collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication and networking skills; proven experience leading, motivating, and developing a creative team.
  • Positive, open approach with the ability to inspire clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
