We create award-winning, hand-crafted sculptures that redefine luxury spaces around the world – from Windsor Castle to New York rooftops, from Chelsea Flower Show gardens to private collections across Asia, Europe, and the USA. As our Design Director, you’ll be more than a designer. You’ll be a visionary leader, and global ambassador – guiding the creative direction of our New, Bespoke, and Classic collections while inspiring a talented team and captivating international audiences with your design voice.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and evolution of our New, Bespoke, and Classic products; translate the creative direction into elegant, commercially successful designs.
- Inspire and develop the creative team; collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to drive exceptional results across the company.
- Represent the brand externally as a figurehead in the global design landscape and interior design community; travel frequently to champion the brand on an international stage.
- Own the full design process from research and ideation to concept and innovation.
- Transform client briefs into inspiring bespoke proposals; experiment with materials and finishes; manage multiple projects from sketch to proposal.
- Lead as a global ambassador at high-profile UK and international design events; build influential networks across the design world.
- Lead, mentor, and unite a talented creative team; set standards for design excellence and foster innovation and curiosity.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to guide the business forward and articulate a strong strategic vision.
Qualifications
- Degree in visual or product design (or equivalent experience); extensive senior-level expertise, ideally within the luxury sector.
- Strong grasp of historical, classical, and contemporary design; ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness.
- Excellent face-to-face client interaction skills; ability to translate complex briefs into elegant solutions and to inspire trust and collaboration.
- Exceptional communication and networking skills; proven experience leading, motivating, and developing a creative team.
- Positive, open approach with the ability to inspire clients, colleagues, and stakeholders alike.
Details
- Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire HQ (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office) with travel minimum 6 times per year
- Salary: Competitive salary (based on expertise) + bonus; private healthcare with Vitality; pension; 25 days holiday rising to 28; birthday leave; employee assistance programme
