Design Director - Where Art, Culture & Craft Meet. Hybrid
Designation: Design Director at VoiceWorks. Hybrid role (3 days in the office at Didcot, Oxfordshire HQ) with travel required globally (minimum 6 times per year).
What you will do
- Own and drive the design direction for New, Bespoke, and Classic David Harber collections, translating creative direction into elegant, commercially successful products.
- Lead and mentor a creative team, fostering innovation, curiosity, and high standards of design excellence.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to energise stakeholders and deliver exceptional results for luxury spaces, hotels, private gardens, and public projects.
- Represent the brand externally as a global ambassador, networking within the luxury design community and speaking at events; travel frequently for international presence.
- Transform client briefs into inspiring bespoke proposals and manage multiple projects from concept to proposal with precision and flair.
- Set strategic direction with senior leaders and align teams around bold ideas and shared success.
About You
- Degree in visual or product design (or equivalent experience) with extensive senior-level expertise, ideally in the luxury sector.
- Strong knowledge of historical, classical, and contemporary design; ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills; proven experience leading, motivating, and developing a creative team.
- Outstanding communication and networking skills with a proactive, positive, and collaborative approach.
- Willingness to travel and represent the brand on an international stage.

What you’ll shape
- Lead the creative evolution of the New, Bespoke, and Classic products while ensuring the Classic range remains fresh and vital.
- Translate client briefs into compelling bespoke proposals and explore innovative materials and finishes.
- Represent the brand at high-profile UK and international design events and build influential networks across the design world.
- Inspire and mentor the creative team, setting standards for design excellence and nurturing innovation.
