OverviewDesign Team Manager role at Energy Job Search. 12 Month Contract, Outside IR35. Hybrid setup with 3 days per week in the London office. Report to lead design management and co-manage a team in a construction environment in London.ResponsibilitiesCo-managing a team of 12 Electrical Engineers and 3 CAD Technicians.Managing the delivery of electrical designs to support 4G & 5G infrastructure being installed on the London Underground.Role may suit a Senior / Principal / Associate Electrical Engineer with experience managing teams and projects, or a Design Manager with a sufficient technical background.Strong knowledge of electrical design processes, deliverables, and software packages required.Would suit someone who has worked contractor side and not exclusively consultancy.Some key responsibilities:Managing the design programme.Liaising with the client / third parties.Dealing with design issues and supporting the rest of the team with their design work.Carrying out technical reviews of electrical design packages.Providing management support to the CAD team.Organising surveys (carried out by the installation team).Managing resource, assisting with further recruitment if required.Raising queries to the client and TfL, taking blockers from engineers designs upstream to find resolutions.Holding third parties & client to account when requiring information for designs or responses on queries/blockers.Location & ScheduleLondon, Hybrid: 3 days per week in the London office.Requirements / QualificationsStrong knowledge of electrical design processes, deliverables, and software packages.Experience managing teams and projects in electrical design or design management roles.Previous LU / TfL project experience is preferable but not essential.Employment Type12 Month ContractOutside IR35Full-timeCompany & Equality Statementersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
