Desktop & Support Level 1 Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Level 1 Desktop & Network Support Engineers to join our IT team across multiple UK locations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in desktop support, a working knowledge of Cisco technologies, and a desire to grow within a professional IT environment. You’ll be responsible for supporting users, resolving technical issues, and ensuring IT systems run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1st line support for desktop, laptop, network and mobile devices across Windows and macOS platforms.

Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents via phone, email, or on-site.

Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.

Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues involving Cisco networking hardware and infrastructure.

Support Microsoft 365 applications and assist with user account administration (Active Directory, Exchange).

Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 support as required.

Document support activities using ticketing systems and maintain asset inventories.

Assist in user onboarding/offboarding including access setup and equipment provisioning.

Adhere to IT policies, data protection standards, and security best practices.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in an IT support or service desk environment.

Solid understanding of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic networking principles.

Exposure to Cisco technologies (switches, routers, access points) and troubleshooting network-related issues.

CCNA certification (or currently studying towards it) is highly desirable.

Familiarity with Active Directory, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

A customer-centric mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Requirements:

Must have the legal right to work in the UK (e.g., British citizen, settled/pre-settled status, or valid work visa).

Ability to travel to the office or client sites as required in the specified cities.

Willingness to work occasional extended hours for urgent support or project rollouts.
