Location: Sheffield, UK | Hybrid / Remote
Are you an experienced IT infrastructure professional with strong expertise in Devops Lead-OpenShift Administration and KVM Virtualization? Our client is looking for a skilled professional to join their team and take ownership of critical infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities
- KVM Administration: Manage and maintain KVM-based virtualization environments (provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting). Optimize KVM performance and ensure high availability. Implement security best practices for KVM.
- OpenShift Administration: Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters (on-premises & hybrid cloud). Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize OpenShift workloads for high performance. Manage networking, storage, and security configurations. Perform upgrades and patching of OpenShift clusters & components.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). Analyze performance and recommend optimizations for efficiency. Work with DevOps, development, and operations teams for seamless integration. Document infrastructure designs, processes, and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with a focus on KVM & OpenShift.
- Strong expertise in KVM hypervisors & virtualized environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with OpenShift installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with networking, storage, and security best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines & DevOps practices.
Mandatory Skill: OpenShift
Experience Required: 8–10 years
