Sodexo is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Nutrition & Dietetics team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, working 37 hours per week (flexible over 4 or 5 days). This hybrid role requires an average of two days per week in the office.

You will support the Head of Nutrition & Dietetics by providing expert advice on food products and nutrition across various consumer profiles and external clients, ensuring the integrity of Sodexo's nutrition publications and reputation.

Collaborating with Service Development, Culinary, Procurement, and Data teams, you'll help shape food offers that meet regulatory standards and consumer needs, especially within the Education and Healthcare sectors.

The role also involves supporting documentation, contributing to strategic initiatives, and embracing Sodexo's policies and procedures to drive innovation, standardisation, and excellence in nutrition and dietetics.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Liaising with external bodies to publicise Sodexo's approach to nutrition and diet.
  2. Working across all elements of Sodexo food services, ensuring that advice related to nutrition and diet meets the needs of both internal and external customers and aligns with current guidelines.
  3. Effectively communicating current guidelines and approaches to the Service Offer Manager and Procurement to ensure understanding of the benefits of adhering to nutrition and dietetic guidelines.
  4. Providing training and development materials/workshops as required.
  5. Attending meetings and delivering presentations on specific nutritional topics.
  6. Researching legislative requirements for Sodexo segments.
  7. Advising on relevant nutrition and dietetics issues, reviewing current research, publications, and good practices.
  8. Ensuring the accuracy of published nutrition data by working with Technical Services.
  9. Preparing and delivering nutrition training for chefs and evaluating its effectiveness.
  10. Supporting the development and evaluation of marketing materials.
  11. Understanding consumer requirements regarding nutrition and diet.
  12. Awareness of key market drivers such as healthy eating, reduced salt, obesity, allergens, and UK government nutritional requirements.
