Overview
Digital Account Director – FTC role at EssenceMediacom (WPP Media brand). This role focuses on digital display and programmatic strategy for Richemont (Cartier, Van Cleef, Piaget), Kenneth Green, and Coca-Cola, with responsibility for day-to-day management and strategic digital planning, and oversight of a team of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the overarching display and programmatic strategy across assigned accounts and ensure alignment with wider digital and communications strategy.
- Act as the primary digital point of contact for clients, maintaining confidence in the team and agency output.
- Demonstrate understanding of media and technology developments; identify opportunities to test and innovate in display and programmatic, and present these to stakeholders for client backing.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver multiple projects to standard.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media partners and tech platforms.
- Oversee the production of comprehensive digital media plans that align with client objectives and KPIs; articulate rationale for tactics; present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end setup of digital campaigns across platforms with third-party vendors and in-house teams; ensure campaigns are set up to best-practice standards.
- Maintain QA standards and ensure regular performance reports; lead client calls and present results; provide insights and recommendations to clients.
- Ensure end-of-campaign reporting and quarterly/annual reviews; lead standalone research projects as required.
- Manage a small team of digital planners/buyers; monitor workloads and support development of junior staff.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders across channels; lead presentations as needed.
- Identify opportunities to test and innovate; develop initiatives to improve digital buying efficiency; collaborate with planning and other channel specialists to complement the marketing mix.
- Contribute to thought leadership and ensure accurate management of agency finance processes to timely payments and minimise queries.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a busy agency or client-side display and programmatic team; strong strategic campaign management across display and programmatic.
- Proven ability to compile detailed, insightful end-of-campaign reports and deliver regular client updates (QBRs, annual reviews).
- Strong client and stakeholder relationship skills; confident presenting to clients and leading calls.
- Collaborative, proactive, solutions-focused attitude; able to mentor and develop team members.
- Experience line-managing and developing junior colleagues; comfortable training and fostering an inclusive team environment.
- Team-focused with a friendly, can-do attitude.
