The Project
Mace consult BIM team support clients and project teams with developing and maintaining information requirements and standards, developing and managing of processes within a common data environment and leading the delivery of the information management function for project team. The role is to advise, innovate, understand, develop and implement processes described within ISO19650 series. This includes how the information is produced and assured for digital delivery.

- Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Conducting interviews to assess the skills and experience of potential candidates for BIM roles.
- Delegating tasks to others in a way that ensures they are completed effectively.
- Developing BIM execution plan (BEP).
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients.
- Ensuring security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.
- Implementing governance and assurance processes.
- Monitoring digital handover to completion.
- Participating in industry events to stay up to date on the latest BIM developments.
- Producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650.
- Producing information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.
- Reading, understanding and supporting the delivery of all Mace process and procedures guides.
- Object library development in alignment with wider BIM strategy.
- Assurance and checking of the information model.
- Production of the information model. (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only)
- Reviewing current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
- Reviewing the roles and responsibilities of each BIM job family to ensure that they are accurate and up to date.
- Staying up to date on the latest developments of applicable classifications.
- Supporting construction sequencing strategy using information models.
- Supporting Mace cost team in preparation of cost plans from information models.
- Training the BIM team on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics.
- Understanding and performing in line with information management assignment matrix (from Table A.1 of BS EN ISO 19650-2).
- Understanding the fundamentals of authoring information.
- Understanding the setup of processes and tools for CDEs.
- Upskilling the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
- Working closely with the Mace PM and design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.
- Content management library systems.
- Autodesk desktop products.
- Validation and verification tools.
- Visualisation tools. Databases.
- Autodesk cloud products. GIS Tools.
- Level 6 qualifications or equivalent: degree apprenticeship, degree with honours - for example bachelor of the arts (BA) hons, Bachelor of Science (BSc) hons, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, level 6 award, level 6 certificate, level 6 diploma, level 6 NVQ.
We are also open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options if suitable within the role.
