Digital Engineering Consultant - Capital Projects & Asset Management

Capgemini Invent is seeking a Digital Engineering Consultant - Capital Projects & Asset Management in London. Join a team that blends strategic, creative and scientific capabilities to deliver cutting-edge transformation solutions for clients in asset-intensive sectors.

Your Role

You will work on high-profile, impactful projects which help clients implement digital technologies and new ways of working to transform how they build, manage and maintain their capital asset portfolios. Our clients include some of the largest asset-intensive organizations in the Transportation, Public and Energy & Utilities sectors.

  • Defining client strategy, delivery roadmaps and investment cases. Help develop business cases for technology deployments and support value-based scoping decisions.
  • Designing and developing solutions that digitise and optimise processes across the value chain—from engineering design and on-site construction to commissioning and handover into operations.
  • Leading the creation and evolution of Capital and Asset Management capabilities by developing roadmaps to streamline operations, optimise processes and maintain best-practice asset and information management.
  • Owning delivery of workstreams within transformation programmes, including budget tracking, deliverables and resources, vendor relationships, risk mitigation and change management.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with current and new clients; working with senior leaders to identify and pursue new business.

Your Profile

We are keen to meet candidates with experience in several of the following areas:

  • Consulting mindset: experience on transformation programmes, ability to work at pace and with high quality; drive to complete projects and deliver lasting client outcomes; ability to identify and shape new opportunities.
  • Experience with evaluation, use cases, deployment and strategy around AEC technology and processes such as Digital Twins, Operational Technology, AI, Project Controls, GIS, BIM, Common Data Environments, Information Management and Asset Management.
  • Experience delivering advisory/consulting services to clients in transportation, energy & utilities, and public sector spaces.
  • Client-facing and stakeholder management – ability to manage stakeholders effectively and align multiple teams toward a common goal.

We are also interested in the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in a major consulting firm or industry with a consulting background; proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation and to enlist support for selling and delivering solutions.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery; working knowledge of ISO19650 and ISO55000.
  • Business development experience – leveraging relationships and networks to grow the business.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to simplify complex problems and solutions.

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. Applicants must have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, among other criteria.
