Product Owner – Pure Pet Food

Product Owner role…

As a Product Owner at Pure you will play an essential role embodying Pure’s approach and commitment to delivering a best in show digital products. Collaborating with our Operations, Direct Sales and Customer Service to optimise the Pure Pet Food digital services.

You’ll build connections to our internal applications and understand what they need to take them to the next level and how to deliver it. You’ll understand how our internal tools are essential to delivering our company vision and the impact they have on our customers’ experience. You’ll work with our in‑house Development team to turn problems and opportunities into deliverable goals, managing their delivery and use data to evaluate their success.

Duties and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Spend time with users, understanding what their frustrations are and what can be done to make improvements and improve their satisfaction.
  • Ensure the direction and delivery of our internal tooling is meeting our colleagues and customers’ needs.
  • Thinking creatively and working with our UX Team to create user‑centred solutions.
  • Identifying new opportunities to expand our digital services, offering innovative solutions.
  • Not being afraid to challenge the ‘norm’ and open to new, innovative ways of tackling problems.
  • Use our in‑house development (UX, Dev and QA) team to take idea to solution, delivering iteratively and to the highest standard.
  • Using data to make informed decisions and monitor performance of new initiatives.
  • Truly understanding our products, how they are used and how they can be improved.
  • Ensure stability of our applications, ensuring they are delivered defect‑free and can be relied on.
  • Ensuring our existing digital services are kept up to date with emerging technologies to keep our digital presence ‘Best in show’.
  • Prioritising new opportunities to ensure we’re delivering the right thing for the business.
  • Deliver new features and enhancement using Agile methodologies.
  • Take ownership of, and responsibility for the delivery lifecycle. Bringing ideas and suggestions for new ways of working to improve the delivery process and output.
  • Take accountability for the quality of output. Ensure products are tested thoroughly and meet the high standards expected before being put in front of our users.

About you…

  • We’re looking for someone who loves digital products and is not only experienced, but passionate about truly understand their users and what they can do to make their lives better.
  • You’ll understand just how integral the internal tooling is to the satisfaction of customers and ultimately how happy they are to be part of the Pure Pack.
  • You’ll have experience delivering in an Agile way, delivering iteratively on features.
  • You’ll have experience prioritising and planning the right things to meet users’ needs.
  • You’ll be a team player, working collaboratively and really emphasising our Pure Values.

It’s essential that you:

  • Have experience leading a development team with product delivery.
  • Have delivered user‑focused solutions and previous experience working with UX/UI teams.
  • Can commute to the Leeds area 3 days per week.

It would be great if:

  • You have experience within a subscription‑based business.
  • Have experience or understanding of software engineering to help understand problems and solutions.
