These roles can be worked flexibly, with a minimum of 3 days in the office in Warrington and the option of adjusted start and finish times. You’ll be joining a team working on climate adaptation, sustainability, Water, Electricity, Gas and digitalisation challenges to everyday systems-thinking, adaptive planning and smart engineering. We are looking for #DifferenceMakers to join us in our ‘Thinking in the Whole’ approach to solving key problems facing CNI utilities today and to prepare them for the future.

What does the role involve

  • Support the Digital Services Senior Project Manager in managing and delivering digital service/IT/Bus Change projects safely and to time, cost and quality requirements
  • Take ownership for digital product work packages under the guidance of the Digital Services Senior Project Manager
  • Assist with developing and managing project documentation, ensuring governance and processes are followed, project financial management adhered to and assist with Health and Safety planning and activity
  • Manage internal UU resources and third party resources including scheduling contractors to ensure successful time outcomes are achieved
  • Arrange site works between Minor Works engineers / STS commissioning and confirm site access (via 3rd party request)
  • GSM/4g upgrades
  • Submit ENT045 for IPs
  • Submit related STS config
  • Procure Westermo routers / Installation Contractor
  • Obtain 4g sim cards
  • UMON4 submit STS telemetry config for 2-minute logging rate change
  • Compile and archive the STS commissioning reports
  • Assist with providing data for monthly reports

To be successful in this role you'll possess

  • Project Management Certification (Introductory Level)
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery of projects throughout the project life cycle in a supportive role to the Project Manager
  • Ability to influence decision makers and build effective relationships within Digital Services, the wider organisation and with external Third Party suppliers
  • Able to engage in effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, and have the ability to change communication style to suit different situations
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond rapidly to unexpected events, developing creative solutions to problems and implementing within the team
  • Able to demonstrate own time management and workload interface planning
  • A good understanding of different Project Management methodologies and the activities and timescales required to effectively deliver a project
  • Good analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of telemetry, control, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and automation systems deployed in the water industry
  • Working knowledge of the STS Telemetry system with the ability to navigate around the system
  • SAP Systems knowledge, including SAP CORE, raising and clearing orders
  • Strong commercial management skills and experience, with a track record of managing third party suppliers to time, budget and quality outcomes
  • Awareness of relevant legal requirements including Health and Safety, Data Protection and GDPR
  • Formally trained in appropriate health and safety regulations (i.e. CDM, UU Works Authorisation etc)
  • Proficient in MS software packages including MS Project and Visio
