Director Consulting Services – Business Development Lead (CGI) CGI is seeking a high-impact and results-driven Business Development Lead to strengthen our sales engine within Global Technology Operations. This strategic role focuses on selling Managed IT Services into both new and existing clients, driving growth by spotting opportunities, building pipeline, and converting them into profitable, sustainable wins. You will leverage an established industry network and a deep understanding of the IT sales cycle to secure major deals and shape CGI’s continued success. You will be part of a collaborative team of Business Development Leads and carry ownership of individual growth targets while being supported to innovate and deliver lasting impact. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position. Your work creates value. Lead opportunities end-to-end through CGI’s full sales cycle, from origination and qualification to negotiation and contract closure. Deliver against personal sales and growth targets for Managed IT Services. Build, grow, and sustain C-level client relationships using your established network. Proactively identify, cultivate, and qualify new opportunities. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline aligned with GTO growth objectives. Collaborate with internal teams to shape and deliver compelling client propositions. Demonstrate CGI’s full capabilities to highlight long-term client value. Represent CGI at industry events and VIP meetings to build visibility and credibility. Provide competitor and market intelligence to shape future strategy.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Proven track record of winning significant Managed IT Services deals. Strong knowledge and experience of the IT sales cycle, from origination to closure. Established C-level network with the ability to open new doors. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen and ability to build compelling business cases. Experience collaborating across matrix teams to deliver client success. Highly driven, self-motivated, and able to balance creativity with results.
