The Director, Strategic Recruiting supports executive recruitment for the Firm. This role is based in London, England and will work closely with the President, Europe/Asia Operations.
The Director, Executive Recruiter is responsible for working and collaborating with Ryan C-Suite leaders, Global Shared Services leaders, Global Clients and Markets, and Service Delivery, Principals, and Practice Leaders (“Leadership”) to develop, coordinate, implement, evaluate, and administer the executive recruiting processes. It is a strategic role working closely with Leadership to determine hiring demand, managing the demand plan, executing sourcing strategy, and delivering recruiting results. The role requires multi-tasking and working on several projects simultaneously responding promptly to candidates and internal stakeholders (in different time zones) in time-sensitive situations. The successful individual must be able to meet the demands and be flexible to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
This individual will also work closely with Ryan People Group and other Ryan Departments involved in on-boarding and training. Duties and Responsibilities
People:
- Accountable for managing executive, executive candidate relationships for full life-cycle recruitment
- Develop and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with Leadership and key stakeholders (to drive effective hiring strategies), and potential executive level talent (to become viable and interested candidates)
- Provide advisory consult to Leadership on search matters when needed.
Client:
- Develop a deep understanding of Ryan and assigned practice areas, the Firm’s business model, culture, services, and industry to assess applicant fit and skills in order to successfully attract qualified candidates and effectively describe unique aspects of Ryan’s business model, compensation, and benefits structure to candidates
Value:
- Develop targeted recruiting using methods, such as, active networking, referrals, and direct sourcing techniques, to increase brand awareness and identify talented, diverse executive candidates who are both passive and active job seekers
- Utilize consulting skills and business acumen to influence decisions of Leadership, hiring managers, and candidates and develops individualized sourcing strategies for client groups within the Firm.
- Utilize strong sales skills to effectively negotiate offers and sell upside potential of the Firm’s unique compensation model
- Stays abreast of industry activities and our key competitors for talent. Proactively seeks out benchmarking data through networking and formal sources to maintain awareness of our position in the market.
- Effectively use the applicant tracking system (Workday), to maintain accurate records of recruiting activities, provide timely, accurate reporting and track other relevant data (like pipeline and talent pools)
- Adhere to legal, regulatory, and Firm compliance requirements throughout the executive recruiting process
- Special projects as assigned
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or four-year college degree, or equivalent work experience in Recruiting, and 15+ years of experience leveraging direct sourcing, networking, and online sourcing techniques for recruiting executives in the Accounting, Tax, or Finance field. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to drive and achieve results, possess strong business acumen with a willingness to perform any tasks to be successful, and have above average communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working in public accounting, search (retained or contingency), or corporation recruiting C-Level and Partner level roles is preferred.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. In addition, this position requires experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), LinkedIN Recruiter, Sales Force , and other sourcing platforms. Ryan uses Workday and Sales Force.
Certificates and Licenses
Valid driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.
Work Environment
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Occasional long periods of standing while attending career fairs.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors and candidates at all levels.
- Travel Potential: Limited but could be up to 20%.
