Role Overview: The Director of Deluxe AI Production Technology will strategically lead the adoption and ecosystem integration of cutting-edge Generative AI (Gen AI) image and video models into studio production workflows. This role focuses primarily on driving the utilization of AI models—already customized and trained using franchise-specific datasets—to enhance creative concepting and pre-visualization, and will also architect underlying AI production infrastructure, overseeing technical roadmaps, scalability, and performance optimization. This role bridges executive innovation leadership with technical execution and is essential for launching new entertainment franchises.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface with Hollywood studios, content creators, and internal stakeholders, ensuring deep integration and effective adoption of Gen AI tools within production teams
• Drive the strategic ecosystem development around the deployment and practical use of Deluxe's Gen AI models within studio pre-production processes
• Lead initiatives that facilitate workflow transformation, educating production teams on the benefits and integration points of AI-driven solutions
• Conduct and oversee Proof of Concept (POC) projects to demonstrate tangible benefits and foster studio-wide adoption of AI-driven tools in creative development stages
• Collaborate closely with Production, Creative, and Technical teams to ensure AI model outputs align effectively with real-world creative processes and production needs
• Represent Deluxe at industry conferences, panels, and executive forums, advocating for AI innovation and positioning Deluxe as a leader in creative workflow transformation
• Other projects or responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Media, or related fields
• 10+ years of experience in technology-driven roles within the media, entertainment, or creative industries
• Demonstrated expertise in integrating advanced AI technologies, especially generative image and video solutions, into established production workflows
• Proven experience in effectively interfacing with senior creative executives and production leaders at broadcasters and studios
• Strong understanding of workflow transformation, change management, and technology adoption within complex, creative environments
• Excellent communication, advocacy, and presentation skills, capable of clearly demonstrating the practical value of AI innovations
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving diverse teams including technical, creative, and operational stakeholders
• Familiarity with data privacy, IP protection, union requirements, and ethical considerations within entertainment technology applications
