As Director of Engineering, you are uniquely positioned to make an immediate, high-level impact within the product engineering team. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you have direct responsibility for alignment with, and the successful delivery of, the Revenue Intelligence product capability and the strategic initiatives within this critical product pillar. In this role, you will oversee multiple engineering teams responsible for producing and deploying secure, high-quality, scalable applications rapidly.

Impact You Will Make in the Role (Key Responsibilities)

  • Define and execute organizational vision and strategy in alignment with company and technology team goals and objectives.
  • Champion Generative AI (GAI) initiatives—lead adoption, measure business impact, and integrate GAI tools into engineering workflows to enhance productivity and code quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse organization of engineering managers, senior managers, and technical leads.
  • Build and scale a high-performance engineering culture emphasizing accountability, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on‑time, high‑quality releases that meet scalability and security standards.
  • Track and analyze key engineering metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughput, defect rates) to drive data‑informed decisions.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and inter‑team integration points, enabling smooth delivery across complex systems.
  • Partner with Product Management, Design, QA, DevOps, and Customer Success to ensure alignment across all product development phases.

What You Will Bring (Qualifications/Experience)

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership.
  • Proven success leading multiple engineering teams or organizations in a fast‑paced SaaS or enterprise software environment.
  • Strong understanding of web applications, backend services, and distributed systems with a solid foundation in modern technologies.
  • Deep experience in Agile development methodologies, including coaching and scaling Scrum practices across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive engineering transformation, improve processes, and scale teams effectively.
  • Strong business acumen; able to balance technical decisions with product and organizational goals.
  • Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills; able to represent engineering strategy and performance to senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, manage change, and build alignment across distributed global teams.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing engineering leaders to achieve their full potential.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Successful modernization of a legacy application to a modern SaaS application, including retirement of the legacy application.
  • Proven history of identifying leaders and successfully coaching staff into management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems integration and platform unification in a cloud enterprise software ecosystem.
  • Strong influence, manifest in the ability to present defensible, compelling points of view to drive action and results.
