Salary: Circa £60,000 pro‑rata, per annum
Location: Pill, Bristol (hybrid working possible)

Role Summary
The Director of Finance and Resources will provide strategic and operational leadership of the charity’s financial management and HR functions. Working closely with the CEO and as a member of the Executive team, the post holder will act as a strategic advisor to the Trustee Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, cash‑flow management, budgeting and cost control for the charity, working closely with the Finance Manager.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly management accounts, forecasts and the annual Financial Statements.
- Produce the Trustee Annual Report.
- Act as an advisor and coach to senior staff, improving financial literacy and driving the annual budgeting cycle.
- Provide effective leadership, direction and training to the Finance and HR teams, aligning their strategies with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee HR operations, develop and implement people strategies, and ensure compliance with employment law.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the voluntary sector.
- Experience leading an HR team and driving strategic HR initiatives.
- Excellent planning, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to balance day‑to‑day tasks with strategic thinking.
- Strong leadership, able to build and maintain relationships across all areas of the charity, including the Trustee Board.
