About the team
WorldPay is undergoing a massive growth transformation and pivot to product-led growth. The Product Operations team is a highly visible, cross-functional, and strategic team, charged with transforming the Product organisation to enable this shift.
About the role
Worldpay is seeking a Director of Product Operations to join our Product Operations team. This hybrid role, based in our London office, will be pivotal in driving strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiencies within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, product operations, and analytics, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges. This person will report to and work closely with the VP of Product Operations and Special Projects.
What you'll own
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Drive the execution of high-impact projects that align with the strategic goals of the Product Operations team, utilising creative problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.
- Spearhead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, strategy teams, marketing / GTM teams, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment, adoption, and effective communication throughout initiative lifecycles.
- Extracting insights: Use customer feedback and in-product experiences to create actionable recommendations that influence product roadmaps.
- Streamlining operations: Spearhead initiatives to streamline operations.
Examples of Potential Projects
- Improving the early stages of our product development lifecycle (including engagement with commercial teams and clients) so we can derisk product investments and ensure full value is captured
- Designing and implementing a target state operating model and org structure for enhanced operational effectiveness in the Product org
- Use data-driven insights to influence strategic product roadmap decisions
- Deep dive in select product areas and improve the operating model across commercial, product, and engineering teams
Where you'll own it
This role is hybrid and can either be based in our London Walbrook office, or our Cincinnati, Ohio office in the US
What you bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Experience:
- 8+ years of total work experience with at least 4y in product management or sales/customer/product operations required
- Proven track record of managing special projects from inception to completion
- Skills:
- Creative thinker with a knack for generating innovative ideas and solutions for seemingly intractable challenges
- Strong communicator capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority across the organization
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Self-starter and proactive
