Disputes Solicitor – Suffolk

The Role
The firm is looking to appoint a Disputes Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join its growing Suffolk team. You will work on a broad caseload of contentious matters, taking responsibility for files from initial instruction through to resolution, while contributing to client development and the growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting on commercial and contractual disputes, debt recovery and related claims
  • Managing cases across all stages of litigation, including trial and ADR
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements and correspondence
  • Advising clients on risk, strategy, prospects and costs
  • Representing clients in mediation, arbitration and negotiation
  • Developing new and existing client relationships, including networking and BD initiatives
  • Supporting, coaching and supervising junior colleagues where needed
  • Working closely with partners on complex and high-value disputes

The Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE
  • Confident litigator with strong drafting, analytical and advocacy skills
  • Excellent communicator with a client-focused, commercial approach
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage a busy and varied caseload
  • Team player who can also work independently and show initiative
  • Interested in building long-term client relationships and contributing to practice growth
