The Role
The firm is looking to appoint a Disputes Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join its growing Suffolk team. You will work on a broad caseload of contentious matters, taking responsibility for files from initial instruction through to resolution, while contributing to client development and the growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting on commercial and contractual disputes, debt recovery and related claims
- Managing cases across all stages of litigation, including trial and ADR
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements and correspondence
- Advising clients on risk, strategy, prospects and costs
- Representing clients in mediation, arbitration and negotiation
- Developing new and existing client relationships, including networking and BD initiatives
- Supporting, coaching and supervising junior colleagues where needed
- Working closely with partners on complex and high-value disputes
The Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE
- Confident litigator with strong drafting, analytical and advocacy skills
- Excellent communicator with a client-focused, commercial approach
- Organised, proactive and able to manage a busy and varied caseload
- Team player who can also work independently and show initiative
- Interested in building long-term client relationships and contributing to practice growth
