Overview
We’re looking for a Producing Assistant to join our friendly team. You don’t need to have worked in the arts before – we’ll give you all the training and support you need.
This role is about helping our producers bring exciting creative projects to life. These projects might include:
- Developing brand new ideas and projects.
- Supporting national touring shows.
- Helping artists at different stages of their careers.
You’ll work alongside our Executive Director, Senior Producer and Freelance Producers, learning on the job and building your skills in a supportive environment.
You don’t need arts experience. If you’ve worked in an office, retail, hospitality, volunteering, or just love organising things for family and friends – those skills are all welcome. It would be great if you support our charity’s vision, mission, values and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. We welcome lived experience of disabling or marginalising barriers.
Job Requirements
We’d love to hear from you if you are:
- Organised: you like keeping things neat, on time, and in order.
- Clear: whether by email, message, or in person, you share information clearly.
- Curious: you enjoy learning new things and asking questions.
- Collaborative: you like supporting others and aren’t afraid to ask for help.
- Reliable: you follow things through and enjoy getting jobs done.
What you’ll need:
- To be free for check-ins with your line manager during your working days (times agreed together).
- To be able to work independently and to tell us when you need support.
- To work in either Dorset, Bristol or London once a month (we’ll cover expenses).
Job Responsibilities
Your work will be varied, and no two days will look the same. Some of the things you might get involved in are:
- Working with people - build good relationships with partners and artists
- Helping events run smoothly - including travel, invites, schedules and access
- Organising diaries - setting up meetings using online tools
- Keeping track of information - updating contact database and project details
- Supporting evaluation - collect and process feedback
- Money matters - filing invoices and keeping budgets up to date
- Day-to-day admin - making sure online files are tidy and secure
- Team support - taking notes in meetings and sharing updates with the team
- Charity work - helping with our annual reporting and monitoring
We’ll support you with:
- Training on the systems we use (like Hubspot and Slack)
- Understanding budgets and how a charity works
- Learning how to produce inclusive creative projects
