This is an exciting opportunity to be involved from the start of a historic project. Work to date has focused on enabling works for site readiness. Work is commencing with great speed in areas such as road, rail, fencing, security, water systems, utilities, and the build of modular and industrial facilities. This role is part of the SZC team and supports the UK climate change agenda and energy policy.

Responsibilities
- Provide document management support to the SZC project in a robust, reliable and timely manner, using the chosen EDRMS, and any other supplementary systems, ensuring compliance with project standards.
- Support Lead Document Controllers in the management and maintenance of documentation, data and records.
- Support Project Internal Teams and Project Supply Chain, providing training and guidance on the EDRMS and supporting processes.
- Manage, capture, control, store, and distribute all relevant current and historical documentation within SZC in accordance with project processes and procedures.
- Carry out quality assurance checks on all Project deliverables in accordance with project document control procedure.
- Manage the administration of workflows assigned to receive, check and distribute documents in accordance with project procedures/distribution matrix.
- Support the integration of Nuclear New Build's document management system with its wider information management needs.
- Comply with SZC's approved processes and procedures.
- Champion best practice Document Management within the team.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement in Document Management Team's performance, processes, and procedures.
- Produce all reports in accordance with project requirements, both internal and external.
- Represent the Document Management Team in meetings.
- Identify and solve issues in a document control environment and integrate as part of the team.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal, and manage workload by understanding requirements and deadlines.
Qualifications You’ll need to have
- Document Control experience in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Experience of working in a project environment, delivering against objectives and milestones.
- Understanding of the quality assurance process applicable to document control.
- Strong awareness of effective record keeping.
- Knowledge of filing systems and the aim of distribution matrices.
- Aware of the importance of document, data, and information management in a large-scale capital project.
- Good understanding of Electronic Document and Record Management Systems.
- Strong competence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to influence and promote the overall role that Document Control fills on a project and the importance of successfully managing interfaces.
