Job Title: E-commerce Manager

Location: Leicestershire (Hybrid/Flexible)

Company: YOU

Type: Full-Time

We’re launching our first digital very soon and we’re looking for someone to bring it to life - building from where we are now and owneing for the future

The Role:

This is not a plug-and-play role. It’s a unique opportunity to architect and run the entire digital engine behind a premium lifestyle brand. You’ll be our first hire in this space - responsible for building and managing every aspect of our e-commerce system. From barcodes to Shopify themes, this is your domain.

What You’ll Do:

E-commerce Architecture: Lead the full build and launch of our Shopify platform, including system setup, back-end integrations, payment gateways, and domain mapping.

Foundational Operations: Implement and manage barcode/SKU systems, custom URLs, product data flows, and digital infrastructure to support scalable operations.

Solo Execution: Be hands-on across all areas - there’s no internal IT team yet. You’ll manage this end-to-end, from site logic and structure to UX refinements and third-party app integrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure digital processes align with brand flow and customer experience.

Digital Analytics & Optimisation: Set up reporting dashboards and performance metrics to inform business decisions.

Ongoing Innovation: As the brand grows, evolve the digital stack to support new channels, features, or global expansion.

Who You Are:

You’ve built Shopify sites from scratch - not just managed them.

You understand e-commerce logic and infrastructure, from warehouse systems to product tagging and inventory sync.

You’re comfortable working solo, but collaborative with creative and brand-minded teams.

You enjoy refining user journeys, even if you're also linking barcodes at 10pm.

You value simplicity, clarity, and beautiful functionality.

Skills & Experience:

3+ years in a hands-on e-commerce/IT role (start-up or lifestyle brand experience is a bonus)

Deep knowledge of Shopify (theme development, app integrations, system architecture)

Familiarity with tools like Shopify Flow, Google Analytics, Klaviyo, and third-party apps

Competence in IT basics (APIs, hosting, security, UX, DNS)

Detail-oriented and self-directed - someone who thrives with trust and ownership

What We Offer:

A clean slate - build something meaningful from the ground up

Flexible work environment with autonomy and creative input

Competitive salary (commensurate with experience)

The chance to be part of a thoughtful, design-led brand on the cusp of launch

If this sounds like the kind of challenge you’ve been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and short note to geri@nowyoulive.com
