Early Career Teacher – Supply Opportunities in Scarborough Build confidence, gain experience, and find your fit – with the support of Castle Education

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to take your first steps in the classroom? Whether you're newly qualified or part-way through your induction, Castle Education can offer you flexible, local opportunities in Scarborough and the surrounding area to help you grow and thrive as a teacher.

We work closely with a wide network of welcoming primary and secondary schools who regularly need enthusiastic and adaptable teachers to cover short-term absence, PPA, training, and longer-term placements.

This is a brilliant way to gain hands-on experience in a variety of school settings while developing your skills, building your confidence, and making a real difference — all at your own pace.

What the role involves:

Delivering high-quality lessons using pre-set plans (or your own where needed)
Supporting pupils of all abilities and helping them stay on track
Adapting quickly to new classrooms and school environments
Gaining valuable experience that supports your ECT induction

We’re looking for:

ECTs or recently qualified teachers with QTS
Individuals who are confident, enthusiastic and eager to learn
Someone who is happy to work flexibly and build experience in a range of schools
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
