Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Manager to join our Operational Assurance team. This role will predominantly support our public sector clients by ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality and building safety knowledge across a broad range of environments.You will be responsible for delivering competent EHS advice and guidance, supporting the OA function, developing and reviewing - Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), Construction Phase Plans (CPP’s), conducting audits, supporting project delivery teams, liaising with stakeholders across functions - engineering teams, senior management, and client organizations.

Key Duties

  • Develop, review, and approve RAMS, CPP’s, PCI’s.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits in line with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001)
  • Advice on compliance with CDM Regulations, Building Safety Act, and Fire Safety legislation.
  • Support project teams with EHS planning and implementation of safe working practices across high-risk buildings, hospitals, schools, public spaces etc.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies as required.
  • Deliver training and briefings to internal teams, clients and subcontractors.
  • Maintain and improve EHS documentation and reporting systems.
  • Investigate and support on accidents/incidents.
  • Able to work independently, and collaboratively across departments and client sites.
  • Travel to sites across the UK as required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate/NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
  • Proven experience generating and reviewing RAMS, PCI’s and CPP’s.
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and Building Safety legislation.
  • Experience with ISO auditing and compliance.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of MOD, Defense, or Public Sector environments.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Broad knowledge of various risk related industries – construction, rail, highways etc.
  • Previous experience working in CCTV, Fire Protection, Access Control or Security businesses.
  • Familiarity with High-Risk Buildings and Fire Safety protocols.
  • Understanding of the Building Safety Regulator’s role and requirements.
  • Experience with digital EHS platforms or reporting tools.
