Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer (Junior to Intermediate Level)

Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 DOE (Senior considered up to £55,000)

Working Arrangements: Hybrid / Flexible

Location: Dorset

Are you an ambitious Junior or Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer looking to develop your career with a forward-thinking company? I’m working with a respected Design and Build business in Dorset that is looking to expand its team with a talented engineer to work on a wide variety of exciting projects across the commercial, industrial, and large-scale domestic sectors. While the focus is on hiring at Junior to Intermediate level, the company may also consider a Senior Electrical Engineer position for the right candidate, with a salary of up to £55,000.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the delivery of electrical design work from concept through to completion
2. Interpret client requirements from drawings, specifications, and correspondence
3. Collaborate with Mechanical Design Engineers and M&E Co-ordinators
4. Provide marked-up drawings for CAD/Revit teams, ensuring compliance with specifications
5. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and external design teams
6. Carry out design calculations using software such as Electrical OM, Amtech, Dialux, and Relux
7. Assist in producing single-line diagrams, cable schedules, load assessments, and equipment specifications
8. Contribute to design risk assessments and support project documentation
9. Learn and grow within a supportive team (opportunities for progression)
