Are you an experienced Electrical Inspector looking to make an impact in the social housing sector? Join a robust and professional team of Building Services experts committed to improving the electrical infrastructure across over 35,000 homes and 2,500 residential blocks – including more than 200 high-rise buildings.

We’re seeking a proactive, technically skilled Electrical Inspector with a strong background in electrical contracting or consultancy, specifically within the residential or social housing environment. If you’re driven by quality, safety, and public service — we’d love to hear from you.

As an Electrical Inspector, you will:

• Conduct surveys and inspections of low and high-rise residential buildings.
• Produce high-quality technical reports, condition assessments, and feasibility studies.
• Monitor on-site electrical works, ensuring compliance with specifications, health and safety regulations, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Engage with residents and stakeholders, providing excellent customer care – including occasional out-of-hours support (with time in lieu).
• Support snagging, quality assurance, and handover processes for new and upgraded electrical installations.
• City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installations.
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar electrical inspection or installation role.
• Demonstrable experience within electrical contracting or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and communal residential electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Microsoft Teams.
• UK-recognised electrical qualifications.
• Accurate and clear report writing.
• Collaborative and solutions-focused.
• Able to manage time effectively across multiple concurrent projects.
• Comfortable using digital tools and producing documentation for team-wide visibility.

• Hybrid Working: 3 days on-site, 2 days from home.
• Flexible Hours: Core hours between 10:00–12:00 & 14:00–16:00.
