Electrical Supervisor / Appointed Person (AP) – Lower Thames Crossing project

About the Role

Are you ready to power up your career with one of the UK’s leading infrastructure companies? Balfour Beatty is seeking a dedicated Electrical Supervisor / Appointed Person (AP) to join our temporary site services team on the Lower Thames Crossing project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver electrical safe systems of work (ESSW)
  • Drive Zero Harm and sustainability initiatives
  • Oversee temporary works and risk assessments
  • Conduct toolbox talks and task briefings
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure “Right First Time” culture
  • Manage labour, plant, and small tools
  • Collaborate with engineering and planning teams
  • Maintain QA records using BIM Field 360
  • Support weekly programme delivery and KPI tracking

Qualifications

  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Experienced in temporary electrical installations
  • Skilled in resource allocation and site supervision
  • Committed to health, safety, and environmental excellence
  • Flexible to work nights/weekends when needed
  • Holder of a valid ECS Card, SMSTS, and driving licence

Desirable Extras

  • Experience in high‑profile electrical projects
  • Knowledge of communications systems
  • Trained Electrical Appointed Person (AP)
