Electronic Communications Governance Operations Lead — Deutsche Bank

The mission of the Electronic Communications Board (ECOM) is to govern the Electronic Communications Systems (ECS), based upon the policies and practices defined by Deutsche Bank. ECOM is an essential central governance board which evaluates new or changed ECS and determines if they are essential to support Deutsche Bank’s capabilities and compliance with policies or requirements set by Compliance, Legal, Group Data Protection and CDO / Records Management as well as other key control functional areas.

As the Operations Lead for ECOM, you will manage a dedicated team to engage with technology and business service owners to understand their products and their capabilities. You will drive evaluation of these services against policies and requirements and present them for review and approval by key control functions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with technology contacts for ECS applications to ensure solutions related to retention and surveillance requirements are identified and in place
  • Provide oversight to the processes and procedures for reviews conducted with technology contacts and architects for individual applications
  • Provide recommendations to the ECOM board on the ECS determination for individual applications
  • Work with application architects and technology owners to track the progress of any mitigation activities identified by the ECOM board
  • Support the data integrity for the inventory of applications containing electronic communications used within Deutsche Bank
  • Create reports in your area of responsibility and present them to the ECOM board and other external groups; lead and manage the ECOM analyst team

Qualifications

  • Experience in the use/support of electronic communications within the Financial Services industry
  • Experience working across technology organisations for the implementation and/or remediation of functionality required to meet regulatory compliance
  • Experience in designing, maintaining and delivering auditable governance processes is an advantage
  • Comfortable dealing with both technical stakeholders (e.g. application owners, infrastructure teams) and control function partners (e.g. Legal and Compliance)
  • Experience managing a team responsible for following processes within a defined framework
