EL/PL Large Loss Solicitor

Placing the best legal talent in law firms in Defendant Injury & Insurance

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an NQ–2 PQE Solicitor to join a highly regarded Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss team within a leading national firm.

Working alongside experienced Partners and senior lawyers, you’ll manage your own caseload of fast‑track and lower‑value multi‑track EL/PL claims while assisting on high‑value, complex large loss and catastrophic injury matters. The team acts for major insurers, corporates, and public sector clients on a diverse range of claims including workplace accidents, public liability, and road traffic injuries — as well as sensitive cases involving harassment, stress, and group litigation.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior solicitor to gain exposure to complex, technically challenging work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Confident handling liability investigations and running own caseload
  • Experience assisting on large loss or catastrophic injury cases advantageous
  • Excellent understanding of CPR and litigation processes
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
  • Well‑organised, detail‑focused and able to manage competing priorities
  • Professional and personable, with the ability to build strong client relationships

The Benefits & How to Apply

  • Up to £47,000 DOE
  • Hybrid working – 2 days office / 3 days home
  • 28 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Life Assurance (4× salary)
  • Employee Assistance Programme (including counselling, legal and consumer advice)
