Senior Consultant at IC Resources - recruiting embedded software, C/C++, firmware

Brand new position for an Embedded Team Leader in central Bristol. My well established and growing client requires a Principal level Embedded Team Leader to take responsibility for a team developing a safety critical real‑time operating system for the Aerospace sector.

Applicants should have 8+ years of experience in embedded software development within a safety critical development environment, ideally (but not strictly required) in Aerospace. A strong understanding of embedded systems and real‑time operating systems, ideally FreeRTOS or SAFERTOS, is required. Knowledge of Safety Software Development to standards such as DO 178B/C, ISO26262, IEC 61508, and IEC 62304 would be advantageous.

• Lead and manage a team of embedded software engineers, overseeing the design, development and test of embedded software systems.
• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Demonstrate strong embedded C/Assembler skills, experience managing projects, and extensive full lifecycle development expertise.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
• Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

Super salary £75k to £90k according to your experience. Hybrid working, visa support and a convenient location near Temple Meads train station for an easy commute.
