EMEA Corporate Tax Lead (Glasgow)

Salary: £competitive + Bonus + Benefits | Hybrid Working. A leading global organization with a major presence in Glasgow is seeking an accomplished Corporate Tax Leader to join its EMEA Tax function. This senior, strategic role oversees multi‑jurisdictional compliance, reporting and advisory activity across a broad European footprint. The Opportunity

You’ll join a well‑established EMEA Corporate Tax team operating across multiple European hubs, supporting about 200 entities in more than 25 jurisdictions. As Lead you’ll take ownership of a significant portfolio while leading a talented team of 12, ensuring delivery of high‑quality tax outputs and continuous improvement across processes and controls.

What You'll Lead

  • Oversight of UK and EMEA corporate tax compliance, payments, forecasts, provisioning and reporting.
  • Leadership of a 12‑person team, developing capability, performance and succession.
  • Responses to tax authorities and audit enquiries.
  • Technical research and input into wider tax projects and operational model changes.
  • Collaboration with external advisors, auditors and global tax colleagues.
  • Process enhancement and innovation across the tax compliance and reporting cycle.
  • Building strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

What You Bring

  • CTA, CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualification, or extensive relevant experience.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating a tax team in‑house or in practice to deliver complex outputs at pace.
  • Strong technical grounding in corporate tax compliance and reporting.
  • Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate complex technical rules clearly.
  • A track record of managing demanding portfolios and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Confidence to challenge existing processes and drive improvements.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
