EMEA Employment Counsel – German Speaking

Overview
Global Organisation seeking EMEA Employment Counsel, fluent in German, to join in-house legal team in London.
Responsibilities
- Provide wide-ranging employment support across EMEA with a focus on the Organisation’s German business, working with senior leadership, HR, the COO and regional leaders.
- Assist with a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious EMEA employment work, including contractual agreements, TUPE, corporate transactions, restructures, disputes, grievances, disciplinary matters, internal policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, whistleblowing, DEI initiatives, restrictive covenants and terminations.
- Conduct internal investigations and manage external counsel where necessary.
- Proactively identify and manage legal risk and liaise with senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ PQE across Germany and EMEA, with proven experience as an employment lawyer in advisory, corporate support and contentious matters.
- Preferably from a top-tier City law firm; in-house experience is highly desirable.
- Versatile, efficient, proactive with strong drafting skills, mature, discreet and an excellent communicator; able to manage, prioritise and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
