Are you a seasoned emergency planning professional ready to lead strategic resilience for a dynamic healthcare provider? IC24 is seeking an experienced and driven EPRR Lead to spearhead our emergency preparedness and business continuity functions across the organisation.
This is a pivotal, senior-level role responsible for ensuring IC24 complies with the Civil Contingencies Act (2004), NHS Emergency Planning Guidance, and other key legislation. You’ll work closely with executive leaders, external agencies, and local resilience forums to protect and future-proof services that support thousands of patients.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading IC24’s strategic and operational response to major incidents.
- Developing and testing emergency and business continuity plans.
- Acting as subject matter expert on emergency planning and resilience.
- Designing and delivering EPRR training for all levels, including Gold/Silver/Bronze command.
- Representing IC24 at Local Resilience Forums and multi-agency planning groups.
- Ensuring plans are aligned with national guidance and tested through live exercises and audits.
- Analysing risks, incidents, and learning to improve system-wide resilience.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma in Health Emergency Planning, Response & Resilience (DipHE).
- “Train the Trainer” certificate.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business continuity (healthcare or corporate setting).
- At least 2 years in an EPRR role within a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrable experience in writing, developing and leading emergency plans.
- Strong understanding of NHS EPRR policies and frameworks.
- Gold/Silver Incident Command Training.

Location Ashford – Hybrid working
Hours Available Part time – 22.5 hours per week
