The Employer Liaison Officer will build relationships with employers and industry partners to develop career opportunities for our students and graduates, enhancing their employability and career readiness.

As the first point of contact, you will coordinate employer-led events, workshops, and networking opportunities. You will support employer outreach and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop placement opportunities and ensure a high-quality experience for all involved.

You will also support students directly by delivering workshops on employment topics such as securing placements, graduate opportunities, and preparing CVs or applications.

Accurate record-keeping, outcome tracking, and data analysis to guide engagement strategies and service improvements are key parts of the role.

This position requires excellent communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills, along with a strong commitment to inclusivity and student success.

Job Purpose: The Employer Liaison Officer will act as the first point of contact for employers, industry partners, external agencies, and other programme providers interested in developing relationships with the University. This includes activities such as placements/internships, graduate recruitment, mentoring, careers fairs, networking events, presentations, and workshops. The role oversees the delivery of initiatives that enhance student employability and support their career development.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

PERSON SPECIFICATION - Essential Criteria

Education & Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience; GCSE Maths and English C+.

Knowledge & Experience: Customer service, event support, recruitment processes, teamwork, diversity & inclusion, data protection, client enquiry handling, numerical data handling.

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, clear communication, office and IT skills, relationship building, flexibility, independence, organisation, project management.

Special Requirements: Ability to travel across campus, work occasional evenings and weekends, friendly manner.

Behavioural Indicators: Delivering excellent service, working collaboratively, achieving results, aligned with BNU's DRIVE values.
