Employment Associate Solicitor (1-4 PQE) - Oxford - Band 1 Firm

Location: Oxford (Hybrid), 2 days per week in office, commutable from London, Birmingham, Reading, Swindon, Southampton via direct trains. Client types: global corporates, public bodies, and entrepreneurial businesses. PQE: 1-4 years. Practice Area: Employment Law (Corporate focus).

The Role

• Work across a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Advise a diverse client base spanning global corporates, public bodies, and entrepreneurial businesses.
• Manage your own matters with partner and senior associate support on complex or strategic cases.
• Enjoy early client exposure and genuine responsibility.
• Take part in business development, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership initiatives.

About You

• 1-4 PQE with training from a recognised employment team.
• Strong technical, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Commercially minded and client-focused.
• Collaborative, proactive, and motivated by quality work and teamwork.
• Ongoing training through seminars, workshops, and one-to-one mentoring.
• Structured career support via the firm’s Talent Partner programme.
• A strong track record of progressing associates to partnership.
