Senior Employment Lawyer | 4+ PQE | Southampton

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to join a highly regarded regional firm with a strong national presence, a practice known for its technical depth, commercial pragmatism, and supportive, people-first culture. You'll be part of a well-established employment team advising clients across sectors including care, healthcare, technology, marine, construction, and charities, combining interesting and varied work with real opportunity to grow your practice and reputation.

The Role

You’ll manage a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising both employers and individuals on:

  • Contracts, policies, and day-to-day HR issues
  • Disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, and restructuring matters
  • TUPE transfers and change management projects
  • Discrimination, whistleblowing, and unfair dismissal claims
  • Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation
  • Executive exits and settlement negotiations

You’ll work closely with senior colleagues across the firm, contributing to client development initiatives, while mentoring junior lawyers and shaping best practice in a growing, forward-looking team.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years' PQE in employment law
  • Strong technical ability and a confident, commercial approach
  • Excellent communication skills and client-handling experience
  • The ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise effectively
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for supporting others' growth
